Caroline Dedeaux and her father Chad in their Bulldogs cheerleader uniforms
Caroline Dedeaux, 3, is following in her father’s footsteps as a Bulldogs cheerleader. A huge fan of the team, Caroline shows off her mini cheerleader costume. Her father, Chad, was a Bulldogs cheerleader in 2000 and 2001.

Three-year-old is ready to cheer on her favorite team in 2018 season

Caroline Dedeaux, 3, is a member of the Junior Bulldog Club and an avid Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldogs fan. She’s dressed in her Bulldogs cheerleader outfit today to show her support for Meet the Teams night at the Perkinston Campus, which happens at 6 p.m. in A.L Memorial Stadium.

“She absolutely enjoys going to the football games and cheering on her favorite team,” said her mother, Ebby Dedeaux, who is the assistant comptroller for MGCCC District Office.  “She loves football and everything Bulldogs, a real dyed-in-the-wool fan.”

Apparently, Caroline got her love of the team fair and square.  Her father, Chad Dedeaux, was a cheerleader for the Bulldogs in 2000 and 2001.

“Our fans come in all shapes, sizes and ages, which is what makes the season so exciting,” said Dr. Mary S. Graham, MGCCC president. “You see people from all walks of life at our games and tailgating outside the stadium, including children dressed in their blue and gold. There’s a real community feel as everyone comes together to support the team.”

Meet the Teams starts at 6 p.m. at A.L. May Memorial Stadium and will include performances by the Bulldog cheerleaders, Band of Gold and the Perkettes. First-year football coach Jack Wright will introduce his new staff as well as his 2018 squad. Coaches and players for the men’s and women’s soccer teams will also be introduced.

“Join us tonight for Meet the Teams, which is an exciting event for our players, coaching staff and fans,” Graham said.  “You may even see Caroline performing as she cheers for her Bulldogs along with the other kids in the Junior Bulldog Club.”
