The Hotel & Restaurant Management program provides specialized occupational instruction in all phases of hotel and restaurant management to prepare students for careers as managers and supervisors in the hospitality industry.

Employment of hotel managers is projected to grow 6% by 2026, while employment of restaurant managers is expected to grow by 9%. Applicants with several years of work experience in the industry or a degree in Hotel, Hospitality, Restaurant, or Food Service management will have the best job opportunities.

The Hospitality and Resort Management Center, located on the Harrison County Campus, is a nearly 51,000 square foot training facility for students as well as a functional convention, conference, and special events center. This state-of-the-art facility provides a hands-on learning environment for students in this program.

This program leads to an Associate of Applied Science Degree and is preparatory for employment upon graduation from MGCCC. Where a transfer to four-year college or university is desired, a conference should be scheduled with a MGCCC advisor.
All students completing a career or technical program must complete a MGCCC Board- approved Technical Skills Attainment where applicable. Students should see an advisor for further details.
