b'Admission Procedure 1.Make application and be accepted to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Application can be completed online. 2.Submit copies of official transcripts of all schools attended to the Office of Admissions. All transcripts must be reviewed by the Office of Admission for determination of course credits. LPN coursework will be reviewed thoroughly to determine eligibility. 3.Meet all Academic Requirements (listed below) and complete any program pre-requisites or Entry Requirements. 4.The LPN to RN Non-Hybrid optionstudent must haveone (1) year of current (within the last year), documented work experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse. This requirement does not apply to the MGCCC LPN graduate who successfully completed the PN Exit Option program the preceding spring or summer semester. 5.After successful completion and submission of ALL academic and entry requirements (See section below), the student CAN complete the Nursing Supplemental Application for Program Admission.Summer Semester Application Submission: Between April 1st and May 15th complete and submit the online Supplemental Application. To complete and submit the online Supplemental Application: 1. Access the college\'s web page mgccc.edu 2.Click on Web Services (top tab) 3.Enter the GCID (M#) and Password 4.Select Student 5.Select Health Sciences Division Supplemental Applications Thereafter, the applicant MUST read the guidelines carefully.In order to complete and submit the application, college admission and ALL pre-requisite requirements are required.Note: The Summer LPN-to-RN Non-Hybrid (traditional) semester can only be repeated once. In addition, if the event the first attempt is unsuccessful, the student must remain in the non-hybrid option (even if the TEAS exam is 65 or greater). The second attempt must take place during the next ensuing summer semester. After successful completion of all academic and entry requirements, the student may submit a nursing application for the summer non-hybrid transitional semester beginning April 1st.All MGCCC PN Exit students eligible to bypass the summer transitional semester can submit a fall semester application beginningApril 15th or a spring semester application beginning August 1st of each year.Please review the policy regarding students graduating from MGCCC\'s PN Exit option program. Students enrolled in the summer transitional semester must be successful with a grade of "C" or better to enterSemester Threeof the ADN option. In addition, any outstanding college holds must be clear in order for the applicant to complete and submit the supplemental program application. Academic and Entry Requirements The LPN to RN Non-Hybrid option applicantmust submit one (1) year of current (within the last year), documented work experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (letter from Employer, W-2 Wage Form) Completion of the Enhanced ACT is a program requirement.A score of 18 or higher taken October 1, 1989 or later is required.However, if the ACT score is less than 18, an applicant can qualify bysuccessfully completing 21 semester hours of the program\'s degree-required courses maintaining a GPA of 2.5 or higher. The 21 credit hours must include Anatomy and Physiology I, Anatomy & Physiology II and Microbiology with a grade of "C" or better in each. Science Courses (A&P I, II & Microbiology) must be less than 5 years old unless the applicant is a LPN to RN Transitional student, a post professional BS degree conferred student, or has a conferred Health -related Associate of Applied Science Degree.
