b'Administrative Office Technology Gaming Concentration (Jefferson Davis Campus) The Administrative Office Technology curriculum is designed to give a broad overview of the entire office function; an opportunity to investigate the integration of systems, people, and technology; an exposure to career options available within the office involving the coordination of people, equipment, and resources as well as an opportunity to recognize the relationship between worker and supervisor; and a concentration of skills in a specific area.Software taught in this program includes the latest version of Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks. The gaming management courses will focus on the unique characteristics of both the gaming and hospitality industries. These courses will allow students to learn entry-level skills relating to gaming operations and provide them with the knowledge and attitudes needed to be an effective professional in the gaming industry. The gaming courses link to other programs that will lead to an Associate of Applied Science degree with a gaming concentration:Administrative Office Technology, Accounting Technology, Business Management Technology, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Business and Marketing Management, and Computer Networking Technology.This degree is designed to help students seek employment in entry level or supervisory gaming positions. For those currently employed, these programs will provide professional growth and career mobility within the gaming industry.
