Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for renovations and additions to the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Building at the Jackson County Campus on Tuesday, February 5, at 1 p.m.

The STEM Building will have a total of 91,150 square feet that will include a career-tech lab, 21 classrooms, two large classrooms, two computer labs, two collaboration spaces, nine study rooms and 30 faculty offices. Existing square footage, which is being completely renovated, is 50,990 square feet.

The facility is slated for completion in spring 2020.
