The Quality Enhancement Plan was implemented at the beginning of the fall 2019 semester. As we introduced students to the QEP, I noticed an immediate improvement in their promptness with showing up on time for class. Using the attendance scanners in conjunction with the new student IDs has improved the late arrivals and tardiness when returning from both lunch and breaks.
Communications awareness, both verbal and nonverbal, in the QEP Modules has enhanced the students’ awareness of the daily contact they have in class and at home.
Students who speak in front of the class are strengthening their self-esteem and confidence in group conversations, and are receiving valuable input on homework assignments. Over the next few semesters, I am looking forward to helping students grow in the QEP exercises to achieve their individual goals in both their personal and professional lives.
