Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will open Enrollment Services Centers at each campus on Monday, July 6, at 8 a.m. The opening will allow students to meet face to face with Student Support Representatives and Enrollment Specialists for their admissions, financial aid and guidance needs.

Safety guidelines will be strictly followed, with both students and employees required to wear masks and remain 6 feet apart and regular sanitation of public areas.

“Gulf Coast is excited to reopen our Enrollment Services Centers on July 6,” said Dr. Phil Bonfanti, executive vice president of Student Services and Enrollment Management. “Students can now schedule an appointment with an Enrollment Specialist via the MGCCC website. These appointments provide the flexibility of meeting virtually or face-to-face at any of our campus locations. Walk-ins will also be welcomed beginning July 6.  Our college is dedicated to enhancing the customer service experience while also taking the necessary precautions to protect our students and employees.”

Admissions and Financial Aid can be done via computers available at Enrollment Services Centers with help from Student Services Representatives, but both the Financial Aid Processing and Admissions offices will remain closed to the public. Student Support Representatives can help students with the application process and receipt of documents to complete requirements.

Students can choose to meet with an enrollment specialist virtually through Zoom or they can meet face-to-face. Walk-ins are welcome to visit the Enrollment Services Center, but an appointment must be made to meet with Enrollment Specialists.  Students should not arrive more than five minutes in advance of their appointment.

Enrollment Specialists provide information concerning educational and career opportunities, orientation to college life, decision-making skills, and personal and social development. Evaluation of credit, both Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and transfer, is available upon request by the student.

MGCCC offices will be closed from June 29 – July 3 and will re-open on July 6.  However, the college Answer Center will be open Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. each day.
