Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has been designated Gold on the Military Friendly Schools list for 2022-2023 for large community colleges.  Gold Award institutions score within 20 percent of the 10th-ranked organization within a given category

“For many years, we have had a great relationship with the military and value our presence at our military installations here on the Gulf Coast,” said Dr. Cedric Bradley, vice president of the Harrison County Campus, Keesler Center and Naval Construction Battalion Center. “Having received the gold designation on the Military Friendly Schools list is an honor. We are proud to serve our veteran and active-duty students each day, and this designation is a direct reflection of our commitment to support these men and women and their families.”

More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2022-2023 survey with 665 earning special awards for going above the standard. The 2022-2023 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in the May and October issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and can be found at militaryfriendly.com.

The Military Friendly ® Schools list is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources from more than 8,800 schools nationwide, input from student veterans, and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly® Schools survey from participating institutions. The survey questions, methodology, criteria, and weighting were developed with the assistance of an independent research firm and an advisory council of educators and employers.
