Get dressed up in your favorite hippie attire and get ready for a night of vintage gear, classic tunes, good vibes, and rock ‘n’ roll.

It’s a doubleheader night of soulful 70s and 80s rock at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Immersive Media Performing Arts Center (iMPAC) on Saturday, September 30, with The Mushroom Brotherhood and special guests, The Petty Things. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m.

The Petty Things celebrate the music of Tom Petty from his days with the Heartbreakers, to his super group, The Traveling Wilburys, to his solo career. Be prepared to sing along because they promise to play all your favorite songs with authentic Petty sound and feel.

The Mushroom Brotherhood expertly recreates the sound and experience of The Allman Brothers Band with the same lineup as the Allmans – two fantastic drummers, two skilled Gibson Les Paul wielding guitarists, timpani and percussion, and a veteran Hammond B3 player (Wayne Sharp). Sharp’s relationship with the Allman Brothers predates their first record deal, and he has not only written with Gregg Allman, but also recorded an album and toured with Allman Brothers’ bassist Lamar Williams and drummer Jaimoe as The Sharpshooter Band.

This will be a righteous night of rock ‘n’ roll – don’t miss this show!
