MGCCC Homecoming 2023 held on October 28

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College held its annual Homecoming on October 28, culminating in a 41-0 win against Hinds Community College.

During the festivities, the Alumni Hall of Fame, Sam Owen Award, Spirit of Gulf Coast, and Athletic Hall of Fame honorees were recognized along with multiple reunion groups.  Performances by the Band of Gold, Perkette Dance Team, Bulldogs Cheerleaders, and the Tri-Campus Choir were included in the day of celebration.

The Homecoming Court for each campus was recognized during halftime at A.L. May Memorial Stadium, with queens from each campus announced and crowned.

QUEEN VICTORIA ROBINSON

Victoria Robinson is a sophomore from Biloxi. The daughter of Ann
Robinson, she was a 2022 graduate of Biloxi High School. Robinson is majoring in secondary education biology and plans to attend Mississippi State University after graduating from MGCCC. She is a member of the Lead Team for the Baptist Student Union, and a member of the Reflections Team, Student Government Association, and Phi Theta Kappa.

Hannah Necaise
Hannah Necaise is a sophomore from Biloxi.  She is the daughter of Gabe and Beth Necaise and a 2022 graduate of Biloxi High School. A communications and marketing major, she plans to attend The University of Southern Mississippi. She is president of the Student Government Association, head of Member Engagement for the Reflections Team, and a member of the Baptist Student Union and Phi Theta Kappa.

Norberto Lopez
Norberto Lopez is a sophomore from Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He is the son of Norberto Lopez and Beatriz Castillo and is a 2021 graduate of Biloxi High School. A civil engineering major, Lopez plans to attend Mississippi State University.  He is vice president of Fellowship for Phi Theta Kappa, co-vice president of the Reflections Team, secretary of the Student Government Association and a member of the Campus Activities Board and the Latin American Student Organization.

Darby Felton
Darby Felton is a freshman from Woolmarket. The daughter of Catherine Rivas Felton, she is a 2023 graduate of D’Iberville High School. She is majoring in journalism and media studies.  Felton is a member of the Reflections Team and the Campus Activities Board.

Hannah Nguyen
Hannah Nguyen is a freshman from Biloxi. The daughter of Cathy Tran and Tan Nguyen, she is a 2023 graduate of St. Martin High School. She is majoring in radiology and plans to transfer to the University of South Alabama after completing her degree from MGCCC.  She is a member of the Campus Activities Board, Student Government Association, and the Baptist Student Union.

Queen Alyssa Dunnaway
Alyssa Dunnaway is a sophomore from Ocean Springs. The daughter of Brent and Sara Dunnaway, she is a 2022 graduate of Ocean Springs High School. She is an elementary education major and plans to attend William Carey University after graduating from MGCCC. She is the Student Government Association president, Campus Activities Board vice president, and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the Reflections Team, Oak Club, and the JC Hispanic American Club.

EMILY MONTGOMERY
Emily Montgomery is a sophomore from Hurley. The daughter of Rob and April Montgomery, she was homeschooled prior to admission to MGCCC.   She is majoring in kinesiology and plans to attend a university after completing her associate degree.  She is a Phi Theta Kappa chapter officer and Student Government Association vice president. She is also a member of the Honors College and Reflections Team.

KATEY PRYOR
Katey Pryor is a sophomore from Hurley. The daughter of David and Julie Pryor, she is a 2022 graduate of East Central High School. She is an elementary education major and plans to attend Mississippi State University after graduation from MGCCC. She is Reflections Team president, Student Government Association treasurer and Community Service co-chair for the Campus Activities Board. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa.

ANNA KATHERINE NOBLE
Anna Katherine Noble is a freshman from Ocean Springs. The daughter of Timmy and Julia Noble, she is a 2023 graduate of Ocean Springs High School.  She is a pre-law major with plans to attend the University of Mississippi after graduation from MGCCC. She is a member of the Campus Activities Board and the JC Hispanic American Club.

TIFFANY STEWART
Tiffany Stewart is a freshman from Pascagoula. She is the daughter of Timothy Stewart, Marie Stewart, Theresa O’Sullivan, and Robbie O’Sullivan and is a 2023 graduate of Alma Bryant High School. She is a mechanical engineering major and plans to become a traveling engineer after graduation. She is freshman class president in the Student Government Association and is a member of the Reflections Team, Campus Activities Board, Honors College and the JC Hispanic American Club.

Queen Jaycie Tungett
Jaycie Tungett is a sophomore from Leakesville. The daughter of Duke and Amy Tungett, she is a 2022 graduate of Greene County High School. A communications major, she plans to attend the University of Mobile after graduating from MGCCC.  She is currently on the Perkette Dance Team, and a member of the Band of Gold, Student Government Association, Phi Theta Kappa and the Baptist Student Union. Jaycie holds the title of “Miss Fairpark” in the Miss Mississippi Scholarship Organization.

Anthony Green
Anthony Green is a sophomore from Jackson. The son of Anthony and Demiequa Green, he is a 2022 graduate of Lawrence County High School. A marine biology and forensic science major, he plans to attend the University of South Alabama and perform in the Jaguar band. He is a member of the Band of Gold and Esports and is the vice president of Communications for the Campus Activities Board.

Madison Edwards
Madison Edwards is a sophomore from Hattiesburg. The daughter of Raeneice Hands and Craig Hands, she is a 2022 graduate of Oak Grove High School. A nursing major, she plans to attend William Carey University. She is a member of Mississippi Sound, Campus Activities Board, Phi Theta Kappa, and the Student Government Association. She is also a Resident Assistant.

Brandi Morris
Brandi Morris is a freshman from Meridian. The daughter of Brandon and April Morris, she is a 2023 graduate of Meridian High School. An athletic training major, she plans to attend the University of Alabama. She is a member of the Dog Pound and a Resident Assistant.

Sydney Smallwood
Sydney Smallwood is a freshman from Hernando. The daughter of Jeff and Rachel Smallwood and Hillary Smallwood, she is a 2023 graduate of Stone High School. She plans to attend the University of South Alabama and eventually work as a therapist and college professor. She is a Drum Major for the Band of Gold.
