Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is excited to announce that registration is now open for the 2025 Gulf Coast Honor Band. The annual event invites young musicians from grades 7 through 12 to participate in an enriching band clinic experience, scheduled for January 31 – February 1, 2025, at MGCCC’s Perkinston Campus.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to learn from esteemed clinicians, including Dr. Colin McKenzie, Director of the School of Music and Conductor of the Symphonic Winds at The University of Southern Mississippi, and Elizabeth Jackson, Director of Bands at Ocean Springs Middle School and Upper Elementary. These experienced educators will lead students through a series of clinics designed to refine their skills, expand their musical repertoire, and foster a passion for performance.

Participants in the Honor Band will pay a $40 participation fee, which covers a meal, a commemorative medal, and an Honor Band T-shirt. This event promises a collaborative environment for student musicians to advance their talents and create lasting memories with peers from across the Gulf Coast.
