Helping MGCCC Students Choose Their Path with Confidence

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College encourages anyone interested in exploring a career to use the free Career Coach platform offered through the college’s website.  Career Coach is a dynamic and easy-to-use way for students and community members to explore career possibilities and connect with MGCCC programs aligned with their goals.

Whether you’re unsure about which major to choose or curious about how your interests translate into careers, Career Coach provides the tools you need to make informed decisions. The platform offers real-time data on wages, job availability, required skills, and more—all tailored to your local job market.

Career Coach is designed to:

  • Help current and future students discover career options and the MGCCC programs that support them
  • Connect local employers to a pipeline of skilled, motivated students
  • Empower faculty and staff to give more targeted, career-focused academic advising

Students can also take career assessments, build résumés, and apply directly to local job postings—all in one place.

“Career Coach takes the guesswork out of choosing a career path,” said Aaliyah Dock, who helps students at the Harrison County Campus navigate the Career Coach portal.  “It empowers students to match their interests and strengths with real career opportunities—making their educational journey more focused, efficient, and rewarding.”
