At the awards reception on May 1, MGCCC Harrison County Campus School of Visual & Performing Arts announced the winners of the Annual Student Art Competition and Exhibition.

Categories included Drawing, Design, Painting, and Digital Art.

“I’m really proud of this year’s students,” said Cecily Cummings, 2-D arts instructor. “I’m grateful they had this opportunity to showcase a year of hard work and creativity to their family, friends, our campus, and the community.”

This year’s judge was Gulfport native Elisha Gold, who received his MFA in sculpture from the University of Memphis. He currently resides in Memphis, where he creates large-scale industrial organic sculptures for public spaces.
