MGCCC earns 2026 Great Colleges to Work For Honor Roll recognition

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has once again been named a Great College to Work For®, earning a place on the program’s 2026 Honor Roll and receiving recognition in a record nine categories.
The 2026 recognition marks the third consecutive year MGCCC has earned Honor Roll distinction and the 15th year the college has been recognized through the Great Colleges to Work For program. This year also represents the highest number of recognition categories MGCCC has received to date.
“This recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects the experiences and perspectives of the people who make Gulf Coast such an exceptional place to work and learn,” said MGCCC President Dr. Mary S. Graham. “Our employees are deeply committed to our students, our communities and one another. To be recognized in nine categories and again earn Honor Roll distinction speaks to the culture of excellence, collaboration and service they create across our institution every day.”
MGCCC was recognized in the following nine categories:
- Job Satisfaction & Support
- Compensation & Benefits
- Professional Development
- Mission & Pride
- Supervisor/Department Chair Effectiveness
- Confidence in Senior Leadership
- Faculty & Staff Well-being

Institutions participating in the Great Colleges to Work For program are considered for recognition in 10 categories based on results from an employee engagement survey and information submitted by the institution.
Honor Roll distinction is awarded to institutions recognized in the greatest number of categories. The Honor Roll includes the top 10 four-year institutions and top four two-year institutions within each size group.
The Great Colleges to Work For program recognizes colleges and universities for workplace practices and policies as well as employee feedback about their experiences at their institutions.
