Morgan Freeman’s Symphonic Blues Experience coming to iMPAC on October 17

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Immersive Media Performing Arts Center (iMPAC), in partnership with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Symphony, will present Morgan Freeman’s Symphonic Blues Experience on at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, at iMPAC on the Harrison County Campus in Gulfport.
The groundbreaking multimedia performance celebrates the power, history and soul of one of America’s most influential musical traditions. The production pairs the Mississippi Gulf Coast Symphony with a live touring blues band, performing custom orchestral arrangements alongside video narration by Freeman and immersive storytelling. Together, they trace the blues from its Mississippi roots to its influence on generations of American music.
Morgan Freeman’s Symphonic Blues Experience bridges classical and contemporary musical traditions while tracing the influence of the blues across generations and genres. Through music, history and visual storytelling, the performance creates a one-of-a-kind concert experience for audiences.
