MGCCC to host “Sounds of the Holidays” music showcase and fundraiser benefiting student scholarships
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will kick off the holiday season with its annual Sounds of the Holidays music showcase on December 7-8 at the Immersive Media Performing Arts Center (iMPAC). The festive event, hosted by local celebrities Chet Landry, a MGCCC alumnus, and Meggan Gray, will feature live holiday performances on the Mississippi Power Stage, bringing together the community for two special shows: Saturday, December 7, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, December 8, at 2 p.m.
The event will feature performances by well-known South Mississippi talent such as David Delk, James Taylor, Lauren Broussard, Cliff Thompson, Katelyn Perry, local community theatres, dance troops, the MGCCC choir, and more!
This year proceeds from Sounds of the Holidays will benefit MGCCC students. Tickets are available now, priced between $12-$15, and can be purchased online at impacgulfcoast.com.
“Sounds of the Holidays is more than just a performance; it’s a way for the community to come together, celebrate the season, and make a difference,” said Chet Landry, who has organized the event for the past several years. “MGCCC has always been close to my heart, and I’m thrilled that we can give back by supporting scholarships and arts education for students here on the Gulf Coast.”
Sounds of the Holidays also offers sponsorship opportunities, with funds going toward the college’s mission to expand educational opportunities and enrich arts and entertainment in the community. Those interested in sponsorships can contact MGCCC at (228) 896-2541.
This holiday season, join MGCCC at Sounds of the Holidays for a heartwarming evening filled with music and joy, knowing that each ticket purchased helps shape the future of creative talent on the Gulf Coast.
