The 2018 National Golf Champions

A native of Tylertown, Mississippi, and a graduate of Parklane Academy, Blake made an immediate impact on the MGCCC golf team during his freshman year. He earned two top five finishes and was named to the MACJC All-Tournament Team at the 2017 MGCCC Fall Invitational.

Blake’s sophomore season was even more impressive, with eight top 10 finishes, including three top five performances. He was named to the 2018 All-MACJC Second Team and earned a spot on the NJCAA District D All-Tournament Team. His efforts helped lead the Bulldogs to a national title, as he was the fourth-highest finisher on the 2018 NJCAA Division II Men’s Golf National Championship team. He tied for 23rd overall at the tournament after firing a 70 in the final round and finished the season as a PING All-American Honorable Mention.

After his time at Gulf Coast, Blake signed to play at William Carey University, where he continued to build on his strong foundation. He was named a 2019 First Team PING All-American and still holds the single season scoring record for the William Carey golf team.

Blake’s commitment to golf has continued beyond college. In 2021, he began working at Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg as an Assistant Golf Professional. His leadership and dedication were quickly recognized—he was named Gulf States Assistant of the Year in 2023 and promoted to Head Golf Professional in the fall of 2024.
