The Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Jackson County Campus Fine Arts Gallery will present “The Rest of the Story,” a special exhibition showcasing the work of Southern fine artist and graphic designer Adam Trest.

The exhibition will open with a public reception on Tuesday, March 10, from 12 to 2 p.m. at the MGCCC Jackson County Fine Arts Gallery. The exhibit will remain on display March 10 through April 17 and will be open to the public Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free and open to students, faculty, staff, and the general community.

Trest is widely recognized for his evocative depictions of Southern life, drawing inspiration from folklore, tradition, and everyday moments that define the region’s culture. A New York Times bestselling illustrator, his work appears in children’s books, private collections around the world, and multiple nationally available home décor lines. He is represented by the Caron Gallery in Laurel and Tupelo, Mississippi, and the Orleans Gallery in New Orleans, Louisiana, with licensed works represented by Tantau Studio.

Marc Poole, gallery director for the MGCCC Jackson County Campus, said the exhibition offers a unique opportunity for students and the broader community to engage with professional, world-class art.

“This exhibition brings an artist of national distinction to our campus and allows our students to experience firsthand the power of storytelling through visual art,” Poole said. “Adam Trest captures the spirit, humor, and heart of the South in a way that resonates deeply. We are proud to share work of this caliber with our campus and the community.”
