Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College celebrated Homecoming 2026 on September 19 at the Perkinston Campus, bringing together students, alumni, employees and friends of the college for a day honoring Gulf Coast traditions, achievements and legacies. During pregame festivities, MGCCC recognized its Athletic Hall of Fame and Alumni Hall of Fame inductees, along with recipients of the Sam Owen Award, Bulldog Hall of Honor and Spirit of Gulf Coast Award.

The Alumni Hall of Fame honorees were Marty Wilson, Harrison County Campus, Phillip Brent Dunnaway, Jackson County Campus, and Aleshea Harrison, Perkinston Campus.  The Sam Owen Award honoree was David Fava.

The Athletic Hall of Fame honorees were Dantrell Savage, football, Lea Kittrell, softball, Don Jones II, football, Brandon Parker, baseball, and Colby Entriken, golf. Dana Sharp was the Bulldog Hall of Honor honoree, and the Spirit of Gulf Coast honoree was Kyle Clark.

The highlight of the evening came during halftime of the football game when MGCCC crowned its Homecoming Royalty from each of the college’s campuses.

From the Harrison County Campus are Queen Marysol Ochoa, King Robert Morales, Sophomore Maid Adriana Islas Pineda, Sophomore Duke Mason Pope, Freshman Maid Kaylen Lundy and Freshman Duke Ricardo Dupar.

From the Jackson County Campus are Queen Aryana Barajas, King Rafael Matias-Medina, Sophomore Maid Katelyn Goodson, Sophomore Duke Eli Wilson, Freshman Maid Mariah Broughton and Freshman Duke Preston Dunnaway.

From the Perkinston Campus are Queen Kymora Green, King Chance Manning, Sophomore Maid Allananh Darby, Sophomore Duke Jeremiah Gaddis, Freshman Maid Rylee Watson and Freshman Duke Eliezer Garcia-Costas.

The Homecoming Court honored outstanding students selected by their classmates to represent the spirit, leadership and traditions of MGCCC.

Homecoming festivities also included reunions for the Classes of 1966, 1976 and 2001 and special recognition of Reflections alumni. Guests participated in campus tours and attended the dedication of a historical plaque at the Dairy Barn, now the Community Arts Center.

With the theme “Legends & Legacies,” Homecoming 2026 celebrated the generations of students, alumni and employees whose achievements and traditions continue to shape Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
