“I am thrilled to have completed this program and to have my high school equivalency diploma. I know it makes my mom proud,” Minor said. “I was expelled in middle school for fighting and never finished school. I made some bad choices and finally decided that it was just as easy to succeed as to fail. As I heard once: Why sell failure when success is free?”

That mindset shift led him back to the classroom. With the support and guidance of MGCCC faculty and staff, Minor overcame obstacles and reached goals that once felt out of reach. “It took perseverance on my part,” he said, “but they provided a lot of wisdom and encouragement to get me through.”

A true entrepreneur at heart, Minor currently works as a truck driver and has plans to build his own fleet in the future. He is also a cryptocurrency representative, helping others make informed financial decisions using cryptocurrency as a foundation. “I wanted to expand my business,” he said. “I am an entrepreneur at heart and running my own business is just what I’ve always dreamed of.”

For Minor, completing these programs is about more than personal achievement. It’s about setting an example for his children and showing them the value of education, hard work, and perseverance. “My children are young, but one day they’ll see what I did and how important education is.”

Arthur Minor’s story is a powerful reminder that the road to success is open to anyone willing to keep moving forward—one mile, one class, and one goal at a time.
