Join Us for Our Spring Production

The Perkinston Campus Fine Arts Department, the Perk Players, will present “A Little Princess” March 1-4 in Malone Hall Auditorium at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Perkinston Campus. Performances will begin at 7 p.m. on March 1-3 with a matinee at 2 p.m. on March 4.

About the “A Little Princess”

The play is based on a novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Music and lyrics are by Marc Folan, and the book is by Adam Boden. His engaging musical adaptation opens with a happy Sara Crewe, heiress to a large fortune. Enrolled at Miss Minchin’s seminary in Victorian England, her life takes a dramatic turn when she receives news of the loss of her father and his fortune. Sara is forced by the mean-spirited Minchin to become a servant and live in a wretched attic room. When a mysterious gentleman from India moves next door, curious things begin to happen. Sara even discovers that her fortune has been retrieved.
