PRVEPA Donates Truck to MGCCC

Pearl River Valley Electric Power Association donated a bucket truck to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College on May 16. The truck will be used in the college’s apprentice lineman program at the George County Center.

“Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has an outstanding partnership with Pearl River Electric Power Association,” said Dr. Mary S. Graham, president of MGCCC. “We are so pleased at their continued support of the college through this donation.”

The apprentice lineman program was in need of the bucket truck for training purposes. The donated truck has an aerial lift that allows lineman to work on power lines without climbing. These trucks are some of the most important tools to ensure electrical utilities can keep power running to communities and that linemen can do their jobs safely and efficiently.
