Great Colleges to Work For logo with Honor Roll distinction

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has been named to the Great Colleges to Work For list for the seventh year and to the Honor Roll for the second consecutive year.  The 2018 list included 84 colleges with 42 named to the Honor Roll.

MGCCC was recognized in nine of 12 categories: Compensation & Benefits; Facilities, Workspace and Security; Job Satisfaction; Professional/Career Development Programs; Respect and Appreciation; Supervisor/Department Chair Relationship; Teaching Environment (faculty only); Work/Life Balance.  The Honor Roll recognition was given to the college because it was in the top four schools in the community college group.

“At MGCCC, we recognize our employees are vital to achieving the college’s mission and giving students so many opportunities for success,” said Dr. Mary S. Graham, MGCCC president. “By fostering open lines of interactive communication, MGCCC empowers employees to find innovative ways to not only continue but strengthen the institutional commitment to making a positive difference in our communities.”

The annual Great Colleges to Work For survey was administered and compiled by ModernThink LLC for The Chronicle of Higher Education. The results were based on responses from more than 53,000 people at 253 institutions and information from the U.S. Department of Education.
