Perk Players to perform “Mama Won’t Fly” November 7-9

The Perk Players of Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will present the comedy “Mama Won’t Fly” November 7-9.  Performances will begin at 6:30 each evening in Malone Hall Auditorium on the Perkinston Campus.

An outrageously hilarious race against the clock begins when Savannah Honeycutt agrees to get her feisty mother all the way from Alabama to California in time for Savannah’s brother’s wedding. Savannah’s problem: Mama won’t fly. With only four days to make it to the wedding, this determined daughter has no choice but to drive cross-country with her mother, in Mama’s vintage sedan. This ferociously funny, family friendly comedy will have you laughing your way across the country and all the way down the aisle.

The cast for the play includes Brittnie Hagerdon as Savannah Honeycutt; Haleigh Blanchard as Norleen Sprunt; Sierra McGee as Tanya Dudley/Sybil; Landon Arnold as Denton Crocker/Uncle Ferd/Mitch; Jada Holmes as Hayley Quinn; Tiffani Jernigan as Essie; Olivia Vardaman as Aunt Ardale; Emily Edwards as Aunt Rema Jean; Cade Garrett as Cousin Chicken/Officer Dugger/Mickey; Annie Hillman as Fanny; Jade Wheeler as Edweena; Jude Buell as Great Aunt Pawnee/Juliette; Anthony James as Red/Spud; Galen Johnson as Ronald/Kelvin; Jalyn Johnson as Kiki; and Danielle Davis as Teeta. Crew members include JaMez Nobles, Robert Rankin and Deran Vence.

General Admission is $5. The play’s running time is two hours with intermission.
