Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Aaron Cleveland was selected as a 2023 Moody Institute Fellow.  As part of the selection, he will receive an award check for $1,500.

Cleveland, who along with Charlie Hardt teaches Instrumentation and Controls, Automation and Controls, and Electronics technology programs at the Jackson County Campus, plans to spend the funds on industrial networking training to enhance his programs.

“This is an excellent opportunity to enhance my training and the curriculum in the Automation program,” he said.  “I am excited to get started and am humbled by this selection.”

The Moody Institute Trust Fund (MITF) was established in 1990 in honor of Dr. George V. Moody, the first executive director of the State Board for Community and Junior Colleges (SBCJC). The purpose of the Moody Institute is to provide funds for enrichment experiences for faculty members employed in Mississippi’s public community and junior colleges. The Moody Fund and program is administered by the Mississippi Community College Foundation.
