Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is excited to remind you about our participation in the Mississippi Artificial Intelligence Network (MAIN), the nation’s first statewide AI initiative. Created in partnership with AccelerateMS, Intel, and Dell, MAIN aims to equip Mississippi’s workforce with vital AI skills.

MGCCC is pleased to offer free, non-credit AI courses to all MGCCC employees, students, and Mississippi residents. These courses are available year-round, can be completed at your own pace, and require no prior programming experience.

Courses Available:

  • Intro to AI
  • Intro to GenAI
  • AI for Manufacturing
  • (NEW) Applied Ethics for AI
  • (NEW) AI for Cybersecurity

These courses, developed through Intel’s Digital Readiness AI for Workforce program and adapted for the Canvas platform, cover fundamental AI concepts, real-world applications, ethical considerations, and more. They are led by Dr. Kollin Napier, Director of MAIN and an MGCCC employee.

Dr. Napier states: “By providing these free AI courses, we aim to empower employees, students, and residents with the tools needed to succeed in the digital economy, while also driving innovation and economic growth in Mississippi.”

These courses are free to all Mississippians, including MGCCC employees and students. Participants can earn certificates throughout the course and Credly badges upon completion. Additionally, K-12 educators can earn free CEUs, and K-12 administrators can earn free SEMI credits.
