Don Jones II made his mark at every level of the game, beginning at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he helped the Bulldogs add another championship season to the program’s storied football history.

Jones played for Gulf Coast during the 2010 season as part of one of the most successful teams in program history. The Bulldogs captured the MACJC Conference Championship and Mississippi Bowl Championship and finished the season ranked No. 3 in the nation.

Following Gulf Coast, he transferred to Arkansas State University and helped the Red Wolves win back-to-back Sun Belt Conference Championships in 2011 and 2012, giving Jones conference titles at both the junior college and NCAA Division I levels.

During his senior season in 2012, recording 74 tackles, including 45 solo stops, to rank third on the team in total tackles and lead all Red Wolves defensive backs. He added 5.5 tackles for loss, an interception and two pass breakups. Over his final two seasons at Arkansas State, Jones totaled 128 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, two interceptions, one sack and five pass breakups.

His combination of speed, physicality and versatility carried him to the NFL. Jones was selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft and played five seasons in the league from 2013 through 2017. During his professional career, he appeared in 56 games and spent time with the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots, New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans and San Francisco 49ers.

Jones made an immediate impact at the professional level. Following his rookie season in 2013, he was selected to the Professional Football Writers of America All-Rookie Team, recognizing him among the NFL’s top first-year players.

From helping Gulf Coast capture conference and bowl championships to winning at the NCAA Division I level and competing in the NFL, Jones built a career defined by versatility, determination and success.
