MGCCC’s Renee Box graduates from Leadership Jackson County

Renee Box, dean of Business Services at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Jackson County Campus, graduated from Leadership Jackson County during a ceremony held Oct. 15 at the Gulf Hills Hotel in Ocean Springs.
Leadership Jackson County is a community leadership development program designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of the county, foster relationships among community leaders and encourage involvement in initiatives that support the region’s continued growth and success.
“Being part of this wonderful program has given me a greater understanding of the community we serve and the opportunities we have to make a difference,” Box said. “The relationships I’ve built and the knowledge I’ve gained will help me better serve our students, support our campus and strengthen our connections throughout Jackson County.”
Through the program, participants gain insight into local government, business, education and community organizations while developing leadership skills and building connections with professionals throughout Jackson County.
“Renee’s participation in Leadership Jackson County reflects MGCCC’s commitment to developing leaders who are actively engaged in the communities we serve,” said Dr. Cedric Bradley, vice president of the Jackson County Campus. “We are proud of her accomplishment and the dedication she has demonstrated to strengthening relationships and making a positive difference in our community.”
MGCCC encourages employees to participate in leadership development opportunities that foster professional growth, strengthen community partnerships and support the college’s mission of serving South Mississippi.
