Dunnaway enrolled at MGCCC’s Jackson County Campus in 1994, where he combined academic excellence with a passion for serving others. He earned a 3.75 grade point average, was named to the President’s List and quickly became a familiar face in campus leadership.

During his two years at Gulf Coast, Dunnaway served as president of the Baptist Student Union, vice president of the Reflections Team and freshman and sophomore class representative on the Student Council. His commitment to leadership and service earned numerous honors, including Phi Theta Kappa membership, Hall of Fame, Class Favorite, Homecoming Escort, the National Student Leadership Award and recognition in Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges.

After completing his studies at MGCCC, Dunnaway continued his education at Mississippi College before earning his Juris Doctor from the Mississippi College School of Law. Since 2004, he has practiced law with a commitment to serving his clients and his community with professionalism and integrity.

More than three decades after his time at Gulf Coast, Dunnaway’s connection to the college remains as strong as ever. His daughters, Alyssa and Anna, are graduates of the Jackson County Campus, his son, Preston, is currently a student, and his youngest daughter, Ashton, plans to continue the family’s Bulldog tradition after graduating from Ocean Springs High School.

For Dunnaway, the lessons learned at MGCCC extended far beyond the classroom. His years of leadership, service and involvement laid the foundation for a career dedicated to helping others and a lifelong commitment to education, community and family.
