A resident of Hurley, Mississippi, Timothy is majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Jackson County Campus. After graduating from MGCCC, he plans to transfer into the Mississippi State University Engineering on the Coast program to complete his bachelor’s degree.
The scholarship represents more than financial assistance.
“Receiving this scholarship benefits me tremendously with the financial part of college, but it also helps keep me accountable and keep my grades up to par,” Timothy said. “It pushes me to stay focused and continue working hard toward my goals.”
Leadership Beyond the Classroom
Timothy balances rigorous coursework with active campus involvement. He serves on the Reflections Team and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the Campus Activities Board, and the Student Government Association. His leadership experience complements his academic discipline, preparing him for both professional and personal success.
Looking ahead, Timothy has a clear vision.
“In five years, I see myself with a family, a home, and a comfortable job that utilizes my degree,” he said.
