A current high school or homeschool student takes MGCCC courses to earn college credit while completing high school graduation requirements. MGCCC offers four Concurrent Enrollment program options, each designed to give students an early start on college coursework:

  • Dual Credit – Take college-level classes at your high school and earn both high school and college credit at the same time.
  • Dual Enrollment – Take college classes one line or at an MGCCC location
  • Collegiate Academy – A structured program that allows students to earn an Associate degree while earning their high school diploma.Through a mix of dual credit, dual enrollment, and online courses, students get a head start on college, saving time and money.
  • Homeschool Academy – Part-time enrollment option for homeschool students that offers a reduced tuition rate while allowing them to earn college credit toward their degree.

How To Enroll

To enroll as an current high school student at MGCCC, please complete the following steps:

Step 1: Apply for Admission

Complete the MGCCC Admissions Application and select the appropriate concurrent enrollment option (Dual Credit, Dual Enrollment, Collegiate Academy, or Homeschool Academy).

Step 2: Meet Eligibility Requirements

Academic Requirements

Dual Credit & Dual Enrollment
  • Must be a high school junior or senior (sophomores eligible for CTE coursework).
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA for academic courses.
  • Minimum 2.0 GPA for CTE courses.
  • ACT/Accuplacer scores required for courses with minimum placement criteria.
Homeschool & Collegiate Academy
  • Students must meet admissions requirements and program‑specific eligibility determined by their counselor and MGCCC Concurrent Enrollment campus contact.

Step 3: Submit Required Documentation

Your high school counselor or an MGCCC Concurrent Enrollment Specialist will help you submit required documentation.

  • Concurrent Enrollment Verification Form, signed and filled out by your high school counselor.
  • Official high school transcript showing your most recent grades, this will be provided by your high school counselor if taken courses through the high school
  • ACT/Accuplacer scores (if required for academic placement).

Step 4: Register for Courses

Once MGCCC receives all required documents and verifies eligibility, the Concurrent Enrollment Specialist or Enrollment Services Center will open access for registration.

  • Students may register for eligible MGCCC courses available through their Concurrent Enrollment program.
  • Course availability varies by high school and MGCCC campus.

Step 5: Pay Tuition / Fees

Depending on program type, tuition and fees apply:

Important Information for Concurrent Enrollment Students

  • Course offerings vary by location and program (high school campus, MGCCC campus, or online).
  • Books for Concurrent Enrollment are provided; physical books must be returned on time to avoid late fees. Lab books may require an additional cost.
  • Students may earn transferable college credit that can be applied toward MGCCC credentials or transferred to other colleges and universities.
