The IT Helpdesk provides technical support to students, faculty and staff including issues with account logins, wireless and Internet, and college issued computer hardware. You may open a case by email, phone, or chat live with a technician.
National Student Clearinghouse Data Breach
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has received notice from the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) of a cybersecurity issue involving a recent data breach affecting colleges, universities and other organizations. At this time, it is not known if any data regarding MGCCC students was inappropriately accessed. This data security event did not impact MGCCC’s IT systems.
Changes to Microsoft Authenticator App
To enhance security measures for two-factor authentication (2FA), Microsoft is implementing a modification to its Authenticator App. Instead of simply tapping Yes, that’s me upon logging in, users will now be prompted to input a specific number received during the authentication process.
