What is the Impact Scholarship?
The Impact Scholarship is an opportunity for MGCCC students to receive financial support for college while honoring a teacher or instructor who has made a meaningful difference in their educational journey. This scholarship is designed to celebrate both student success and the powerful role educators play in shaping lives.
The Impact Scholarship application deadline is May 1, 2026. Scholarships will be awarded in Fall 2026 to eligible recipients.
Established through a generous philanthropic gift, the Impact Scholarship offers more than financial assistance, it gives students the chance to share their stories, express gratitude, and recognize the educators who inspired them to succeed.
Scholarship Award, Eligibility & Application Process
Each Impact Scholarship recipient will receive $500 for the fall and spring semesters, for a total of $1,000 per academic year. Scholarship funds may be used toward tuition, books, or other educational expenses.
Eligibility is based on academic performance and demonstrated financial need. Applicants must also submit a 400–500 word “Impact Teacher” essay describing the teacher or professor who has made the most meaningful difference in their life. Impact Scholarship recipients will be required to attend the Fall Scholarship Lunch as a condition of this award.

The Impact Scholarship program extends beyond financial assistance by formally recognizing the educators who have made a meaningful difference in students’ lives. Students selected to receive this scholarship are required to attend the Fall Scholarship Lunch as a condition of the award.
This recognition event will honor both scholarship recipients and the “Impact Teachers” identified in student essays. The date, location, and time will be announced at a later date, and the event will take place during the Fall 2026 semester.
The scholarship lunch serves as an opportunity to celebrate academic achievement and acknowledge the lasting influence of mentorship and encouragement.
