GI Bill® Education Benefits
The Military Benefits Processing Center at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College provides Veterans, reservists, spouses, and their dependents assistance in obtaining the educational benefits to which they are entitled. The office is responsible for submitting enrollment certifications for new and continuing students to the VA as well as, answering questions veteran students, spouse or dependents may have concerning their certification status.
Using Your Benefits
Complete a VA Application at https://www.va.gov/. Print the confirmation. If benefits are approved, the VA will send a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) to you by mail. You should also be able to print the COE from your VA account once your application has been processed. You will need to submit a copy of your Certificate of Eligibility to the Military Benefits processing center via email at va.benefits@mgccc.edu If using Chapter 31, you will not receive a COE. Your Voc Rehab Counselor will need to upload the approval document in the Tungsten system so MGCCC Processing center can retrieve it.
