MGCCC’s Perkinston Campus to present “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” – A Family Musical Extravaganza
The College of Visual and Performing Arts at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Perkinston Campus is proud to announce its upcoming production of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” – a vibrant musical adaptation of the beloved children’s book by Roald Dahl.
With a book by David Greig, music by Marc Shaiman, and lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman, along with featured songs from the motion picture by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley, this performance promises to delight audiences of all ages.
This community event, staged in the Malone Hall Auditorium, features a unique blend of talent with a cast drawn from both MGCCC students and local community members. It is designed as a family musical experience, ensuring that young and old alike can enjoy the magic, music, and memorable storytelling of this timeless classic.
