Additionally, she is an active Phi Theta Kappa chapter officer and a valued member of the Campus Activities Board. Her impressive portfolio of academic and extracurricular accomplishments underscores her commitment to excellence.

The New Century Transfer Pathway Scholar program is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, with additional support provided by the American Association of Community Colleges and Phi Theta Kappa. As a recipient of this prestigious award, Richards will be granted a $2,250 scholarship and will be honored at Phi Theta Kappa’s Presidents Breakfast during the AACC Convention on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee.

“I am incredibly honored to have been chosen for the New Century Transfer Scholarship and to represent Mississippi,” Richards said. “Being recognized for my hard work and dedication is rewarding. I am so grateful for the many opportunities I have received through PTK and MGCCC, which have helped me grow my leadership skills. This scholarship will help me continue my education at Mississippi State University in the fall.”
