MGCCC named one of America’s top vocational schools by USA TODAY
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College has been recognized among USA TODAY’s America’s Top Vocational Schools 2025, ranking in the top 10 percent of institutions nationwide. The prestigious honor, based on independent research conducted in partnership with Statista, highlights MGCCC’s continued excellence in delivering workforce-focused education and strong student outcomes.
“We are incredibly proud to be named among the top vocational schools in the country,” said Dr. Mary S. Graham, MGCCC president. “This recognition affirms our commitment to providing high-quality, affordable programs that prepare students for in-demand careers and support lifelong success.”
The USA TODAY and Statista ranking evaluated thousands of U.S. institutions offering undergraduate certificates or diplomas and selected the top 250 based on five weighted performance indicators:
- Graduation Rate (30%)
- Graduate Salary (30%)
- Years to Pay Off Net Price (20%)
- Social Mobility (10%)
- Diversity (10%)
The methodology highlights colleges that equip students with real-world skills, provide access and opportunity, and deliver a strong return on investment—values that are central to MGCCC’s mission.
With a legacy of more than 100 years of service to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, MGCCC continues to lead in innovation, career readiness, and economic impact. The college offers more than 50 career and technical programs across its campuses and centers, with strong industry partnerships and pathways to high-wage careers.
