Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College invites golfers, alumni, and friends of the Bulldogs to hit the links in support of student-athletes at the annual Clem Dellenger Memorial Golf Tournament, set for Saturday, October 25, at the beautiful Hickory Hill Country Club & Resort in Gautier.

This exciting two-player scramble, named in honor of legendary coach and Athletic Hall of Fame member Clem R. Dellenger Jr., directly benefits MGCCC student-athletes through scholarships and athletic program support. Every swing, putt, and drive helps ensure the next generation of Bulldogs has the resources they need to succeed both on and off the field.

ABOUT CLEM DELLENGER
Dellenger was a longtime Gulf Coast resident and alumnus of Notre Dame High School in Biloxi and Tulane University, where he lettered in football and baseball. For 25 years, he coached at MGCCC under Coach George Sekul and played a vital role in the Bulldogs’ 1971 National Championship. Following his coaching career, he continued to serve students as assistant principal at St. John High School in Gulfport. He passed away in 2007 and was posthumously inducted into the MGCCC Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008.

The Bulldog Club, which hosts the event, provides vital funding to support athletic programs and scholarships at Gulf Coast. From training facilities to scholarships, community contributions make a tangible difference in the lives of MGCCC’s more than 300 student-athletes across 12 intercollegiate sports.
