“I have seen firsthand the powerful impact the Mississippi Humanities Council has in communities across our state,” Graham said. “Through its grants and programs, the Council helps preserve our stories, elevate diverse voices, and create meaningful dialogue. Having served on the board for several years, I am honored to now step into the role of chair and work alongside dedicated members and staff to expand access to the humanities and strengthen their impact in every corner of Mississippi.”
Graham’s appointment reflects her longstanding commitment to education, community engagement, and public service. As president of MGCCC, she has championed initiatives that connect academic excellence with community enrichment and workforce development. Her leadership as chair of the Mississippi Humanities Council further underscores her dedication to advancing opportunities that enrich the cultural and intellectual life of the state.
