Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is proud to announce the return of the Gulf Coast Dance Championships, scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Weathers/Wentzell Center on the Perkinston Campus.

Building on the overwhelming success of last year’s inaugural event, which welcomed 25 teams and studios, more than 300 athletes, and an audience of approximately 400 spectators, the competition has quickly become one of South Mississippi’s premier showcases of young talent.

“The feedback from last year was incredible, and many studios and coaches have already been asking about this year’s competition,” said Britney Patten, MGCCC Perkinston Campus Spirit Coordinator. “It’s an exciting opportunity for us to bring dancers together, foster community, and showcase the incredible talent across our region.”

The Gulf Coast Dance Championships serve as both a recruitment opportunity and a fundraiser for the MGCCC Dance Team. Dancers throughout the Southeast, including school teams and regional studios, will compete across multiple divisions for the title of Gulf Coast Dance Champion 2025.
