MGCCC announces 2025 Homecoming Royalty



Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College celebrated Homecoming 2025 on Saturday, September 20, at the Perkinston Campus with a day full of tradition, fellowship, and Bulldog pride. The highlight of the evening came during halftime of the football game when MGCCC crowned its Homecoming Royalty from each of the college’s campuses.
At the Harrison County Campus, Alajha Woodard was crowned Homecoming Queen alongside Abra Taylor Jr., who was named King. Representing their peers on the court were Freshman Maid Ysabelle DiCiesare Murrayand Freshman Duke Preston Lewis, with Sophomore Maid Mary Frontz and Sophomore Duke Bryce Rutledge.
From the Jackson County Campus, Anna Dunnaway was honored as Homecoming Queen and Tucker Paulk as King. Completing the court were Freshman Maid Aryana Barajas and Freshman Duke Kalib Ely, along with Sophomore Maid Kaylee Pickett and Sophomore Duke Skylar Nguyen.
Representing the Perkinston Campus, Betty “Makayla” Fowler was crowned Homecoming Queen and Roy’Avery Barnes was named King. Their court included Freshman Maid Kaitlyn Gaylor, Freshman Duke Chance Manning, Sophomore Maid Emma “Mattie-Marie” Cowart, and Sophomore Duke Courtney Beavers Jr.
The Homecoming Court announcement honored the outstanding students chosen by their classmates to represent the spirit, leadership, and tradition of MGCCC.
Homecoming 2025 also featured a full day of festivities, including alumni reunions, campus tours, and recognition of honorees in the Athletic Hall of Fame, Alumni Hall of Fame, Bulldog Hall of Honor, Sam Owen Award, and Spirit of Gulf Coast Award.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College continues to honor its legacy of excellence while celebrating the students and alumni who embody the true spirit of the Gulf Coast.
