Ballet Magnificat’s “The Light Has Come – An Angel’s Story” to dazzle audiences at MGCCC’s iMPAC on November 24
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is excited to announce a special performance by Ballet Magnificat! on November 24, 2024, at 6 PM at the iMPAC located on the college’s Harrison County Campus. Known for their high-energy performances and powerful storytelling, Ballet Magnificat! breaks the mold of traditional ballet with a unique blend of artistry and inspiration.
Founded by internationally recognized ballerina Kathy Thibodeaux, Ballet Magnificat! is a groundbreaking ballet company with a mission to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ through dance. Thibodeaux, a Silver Medalist at the 1982 USA International Ballet Competition, established the company in 1986 to bring Christian themes to the stage in a way that captivates audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
With professional dancers from renowned companies such as San Francisco Ballet, Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and Les Ballet Jazz de Montreal, Ballet Magnificat! has become one of the leading Christian ballet companies in the world. Their performances have been featured on major platforms like the “700 Club” and at venues such as the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. The group tours extensively, delivering more than 200 performances annually across the U.S. and internationally.
The upcoming performance at iMPAC will feature Ballet Magnificat!’s trademark style—dynamic choreography that explores themes of hope, forgiveness, and joy. Audiences can expect a powerful and inspiring evening of dance unlike any other.
