MGCCC to host “Experience CTE for the 21st Century” for high school students
Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College will welcome several hundred high school students to its Harrison County Campus on Friday, February 21, for the Experience CTE for the 21st Century event. Scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the state-of-the-art Immersive Media Performing Arts Center (iMPAC), the event offers students an exciting opportunity to explore more than 50 career and technical programs available at the college.
The event will showcase MGCCC’s robust offerings in one- and two-year career and technical education (CTE) programs, which equip students with the skills needed to enter high-paying, high-growth industries more quickly or students can opt to transfer to a university, in most programs, and work toward a Bachelor of Applied (BAS) degree. These programs emphasize practical learning and industry relevance, making them a gateway to a successful and rewarding career.
“Experience CTE for the 21st Century is designed to give students a hands-on look at the incredible opportunities MGCCC provides,” said Dr. Brad Bailey, associate vice president of Enrollment Strategy & Communication. “From cutting-edge technology to innovative programs, students will experience how our CTE programs can help them achieve their goals and shape their futures.”
