“I am very proud to make that big step forward in education for my family as the first to attend college,” he said. “What started out as something that was a little frightening became a wonderful experience at MGCCC.”
He is involved in Oak Club, Phi Theta Kappa, and the College Activities Board (CAB). In fact, this fall, he will be vice president of CAB on his campus.
“I love being involved in all the great activities the college has available at the Jackson County Campus and look forward to a new year of great events,” he said. “The best part about MGCCC is the awesome people I am around everyday there, including instructors, advisors and mentors, and other students. It is a great place to be.”
He enjoys fishing and boating on the coast in his spare time and often spends time out on the Gulf with his family. He said it is very relaxing. “I feel lucky to live in a place where we can enjoy such great outdoor activities.”
Asked why he chose Gulf Coast as his first college, he responded, “I chose MGCCC because it is very affordable and close to home. Adding to that, I would say that attending college at MGCCC has been a game changer for me. I have learned so much and made great friends here. I look forward to another year making memories at the college.”
