Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Institutional Relations department won eight awards at the annual College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM) Conference and Awards Gala held on May 20 in Bay St. Louis. The awards competition honors the best print and electronic media entries from the state’s two- and four-year schools.

Winners included:

Ashlyn Levins, Chief Creative Officer, won first place in the People’s Choice Award category for the campaign entry “An Evening with Valerie June” and third place in the Viewbook/Admissions & Recruitment Piece category for “MGCCC 2023-24 Viewbook.”

Jennifer Tinnin, Creative Officer, won second place in the Single Piece of Artwork-Non-Sports for the entry “MGCCC’s Metallica Scholars 2023 T-shirt Design” and second place in the Public Relations Campaign category for the entry “MGCCC Bulldog Day 2023.”

Elizabeth Brown Knight, Communications and Marketing Specialist, won first place in Photography for the entry “End of Day, Band of Gold” and second place in Special Publications/Promotions for the entry “Snow White.”

Don Hammack, Sports Information Officer, won second place in Television Program for the entry “Bulldog Blitz – Southwest.”

Kathy McAdams, Public Information Coordinator, won third place in the Feature Story category for “Military College Bound.”

MGCCC had one appointee to the CPRAM Board of Directors, Sherri Carr Smith, Director of Communications and Marketing, who will serve as a representative for the junior division for a second year.
