About the Campus
The Haley Reeves Barbour Maritime Training Academy, located just outside the main gate of Ingalls Shipbuilding in Pascagoula, was established in 2013 to meet the training needs of apprentices as outline by the Bureau of Apprenticeship Training of the U.S. Department of Labor.
It includes 44 rooms for classroom space, computer lab space, and laboratory space, along with dedicated library space and office space for student services and faculty. Students who complete an approved apprenticeship program in one of 15 craft areas may receive 30 semester hours toward an Associate of Applied Science degree.
