MGCCC’s Dr. Zach Moulds named Phi Theta Kappa Distinguished College Administrator
Dr. Zach Moulds, Dean of Student Services and Enrollment Management at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College’s Harrison County Campus, has been named a Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Distinguished College Administrator for 2025. This prestigious award honors college leaders who go above and beyond in their commitment to student success. Moulds was nominated by students in the Omicron Alpha Chapter of PTK at the Harrison County Campus.
As part of this recognition, Moulds has been invited to attend PTK’s Annual Convention, Catalyst 2025, which will take place April 3-5 at the Kansas City Convention Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He will be honored on Friday, April 4, during the Third General Session in front of thousands of students, advisors, college presidents, and friends.
“During my time at the college, I’ve had the privilege of working with several incredible Vice Presidents to mentor, support, and encourage these student leaders,” said Moulds. “My goal is to ensure that students make the most of the opportunities that PTK and MGCCC provide them. These awesome opportunities are unique to our community college students and will, without question, pay huge dividends upon graduation. More importantly, the values and hard work instilled through Phi Theta Kappa are the same characteristics that will benefit our students once they transition into the workforce. I’m constantly amazed by all their accomplishments, and I’m so proud that all of these great things start right here at MGCCC.”
Moulds joined MGCCC in 2019 as the Administrative Dean at the George County Center before assuming his current role at the Harrison County Campus in July 2020. He holds an Associate of Arts from Jones College, a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in History from The University of Southern Mississippi, and a PhD in Community College Leadership from Mississippi State University. His leadership development includes participation in the Mississippi Community College Leadership Academy, Leadership Natchez, and Leadership Gulf Coast.
“I am truly humbled to receive this award,” Moulds added. “I’m the luckiest guy on the planet to be able to work with my amazing team and serve this incredible college. It’s an honor to represent Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at Catalyst.”
