In order to transfer, please make sure you complete the following steps:
- Complete the application for admission.
- Submit all previous transcript(s) to MGCCC.
- Visit a campus Enrollment Services Center to complete the enrollment process.
For additional information regarding transfer admission, please refer to our catalog section on transfer students under the heading Academic and Technical Programs.
Reverse Transfer Students
Reverse Transfer allows students who have transferred from a MCCB community college to an accredited public/private university with at least 16 transferrable credits to transfer credits earned at the four-year institution back to the community college. These reverse transfer credits count toward earning an associate degree, which gives students an additional credential and improves employability.
The Reverse Transfer Process is simple. Once you have completed at least one semester at the accredited public/private university, request the university to send your transcript back to MGCCC. MGCCC will analyze your transcript with the credits you earned at both institutions to determine if you are eligible to receive an associate degree.
You will be required to complete the Reverse Transfer degree application form to initiate the process.
Criteria
To be eligible to participate in the Reverse Transfer program, a student must:
- Complete 62 hours in the courses required at either MGCCC or the accredited university to complete the requirements for an associate degree. At least 16 transferrable credit hours must be completed at MGCCC.
- Must be in good financial standing at the accredited university.
- Be a current or former student with MGCCC and a current or former student at an accredited public/private university.
- Must meet the same requirements listed under the “General Graduation Requirements” section of the college catalog.
