Tramaine Brock

Brock began his collegiate career at Gulf Coast as a safety, showing flashes of brilliance early on. In 2006, during a 37-13 victory over Hinds, an interception of his was overturned by a penalty, but it was clear that Brock had the skills to be a game-changer.

He truly hit his stride as a sophomore in 2007. In a 30-14 win over Holmes, Brock electrified the crowd by returning an interception 60 yards for a touchdown. The very next week, he snagged two more interceptions in a 34-7 victory over Northeast Mississippi.

One of the defining moments of his season came in a thrilling 24-17 win over No. 1 Pearl River, where Brock contributed one of the team’s four interceptions on a muddy field at A.L. May Memorial Stadium. His clutch play continued as he deflected a crucial fourth-down pass to secure a 27-20 win over Northwest Mississippi, helping the Bulldogs maintain their undefeated record.

Brock capped off the season with seven interceptions and earned spots on the All-MACJC South First Team, the All-NJCAA Region 23 squad, and the prestigious NJCAA All-American First Team.

After Gulf Coast, Brock continued his college career at the University of Minnesota and Belhaven University, where his playmaking ability shone through. He transitioned to the NFL as an undrafted free agent, ultimately carving out a successful career with teams like the San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings, and Tennessee Titans, among others. Brock’s journey from Gulf Coast to the NFL is a testament to his skill, determination, and resilience.
