Casey graduated from MGCCC’s Adult Education program in May and wasted no time in continuing her education. She has already started college classes this summer, determined to build a strong foundation for her future.

Casey’s ultimate goal is to become a high school English teacher. To reach this goal, she plans to complete her basic coursework at Gulf Coast before transferring to a university. Though she is still figuring out the exact path ahead, Casey is committed to taking her education one step at a time. She believes that with determination and persistence, she will achieve her dreams.

Currently working at Shaggy’s in Biloxi while attending college, Casey has shown an incredible ability to balance work and her studies. She believes that hard work and persistence pays off and she is willing to make the commitment to achieve her goals.

“I don’t always know my next steps, but I will figure them out along the way,” she said.  “MGCCC has already played a significant role in helping me complete my education.  Returning to school was the best thing I’ve ever done.”

As she continues to take the educational steps needed toward becoming a teacher, Casey’s determination serves as an inspiring example for others to follow their dreams and never give up.
